Doula Services
Free Consult
This is a 30-45 minute meet and greet. We can do this consult in- person or virtually (FaceTime, Phone call or Zoom). Let's chat and talk about birth! During this consult we will discuss the services that we will provide as your doulas and answer questions you may have about our services that we will provide to you.

Prenatal Visits
If you decide to hire us as your doulas, we will meet two more times before your birth. Together Meredith and Mia work as a group practice - you will meet both doulas, and they will both be on call for your birth during your pregnancy. During these two meetings we will discuss: your preferences, birth goals, and we will help assist you in making a birth plan. We will also discuss comfort measures and work together to prepare you and your partner for your birth. Together we are committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family. As your doulas we are available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as soon as you hire us. We will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have.

Birthing Guidance
As your Birth Doulas, we are on call for you 24/7 starting at 37 weeks or two weeks prior to your due date to meet your birth needs during your labor. As your doulas we will join you in labor when you decide you need us. This might be in your home before you go to the hospital, birth center or at the birth location of your choice. During birth we offer a variety of comfort measures. We use massage techniques, encourage and support, suggest new positions, keep you hydrated and fed, and help partners understand and give them comfort too. We can help families document the birth by snapping pictures with your phone or camera; we can even take the first family photo! Towards the end of your pregnancy we will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and offer support.

Postpartum Support
After your baby or babies are born, the doula who was present at your birth will stay with you for about one to two hours or until you are comfortable with us leaving. We will help assist in establishing the first feeding and can help make recommendations as needed. We will stay on call for you one week post birth to answer any new baby or postpartum questions you may have. We will meet one last time one week post birth in your home to answer any questions you may have. As your doulas we have local professional resources we can share with you and help you process your birth experience at this visit.

As your Birth Doulas
We are available for you by phone, text, or email throughout your pregnancy once you hire us. We are on call for your birth 24/7 starting two weeks before your due date.
Fees for Birth Doula Services
The total cost for our Birth Doula services is $800. We do not charge more if we are with you for an extended time due to a long labor. We do request a $200 non-refundable deposit to hold your due date. This will be due at the first prenatal visit when we sign contracts (applied toward the total fee). The remainder of the fee ($600) is due by 37 weeks in the pregnancy (2 weeks before the due date), if you deliver before the 37 weeks the rest of your payment will be due at the birth. If paying on a schedule works best for you and your family we can make that work! New Life Birth Services offers a $50 discount on doula services to repeat birth doula clients.
Scheduling is first come first serve, so advanced scheduling is recommended. Both doulas accept 2-3 clients a month and will not accept more than three.
